Pet care experience
I grew up around dogs (Border Collie and German Shepards) most of my life both within my home and within my family. This year I adopted a Border Collie/Lab mix of my own at 8 wks old and have raised her by myself. I have taken the time to train her and then with the assist of a trainer to polish off some of her skills. I assist in helping out fellow friends and neighbors in their animal care including walking, sitting and even play time with my fellow fur companion. I will treat your furry child just as one of my own when they are in my care.
Reviews
Heather is a nurse and dog owner herself. She is a caring person to both humans and pets and wants to do right by both. We have 2 dogs at our home and when she visits, she play with, talks to and cares for them as if they were her own. Heather has been training her puppy with love and has proven to be raising an excellently behaved and healthy dog. I wholeheartedly believe that Heather will care about each dog that is placed in her care. She has a fully fenced backyard for her dog and any others to run and play. She has her friends over with their dogs, so that her dog gets play time to socialize. I support, encourage and recommend Heather for the Rover company!
Heather would be a great addition to Rover. She is patient, competent and kind with animals. She has walked our dog multiple times. Our dog gets so excited when she see's Heather and her 4 legged companion and is always happy and relaxed when she comes home.
Heather does a great job with my little peanut. Kallie is selective about who she loves up on and Heather is one of her favorite people! Heather has a great attention to detail and is communitive. She has experience with a range of dog sizes and temperaments.
So Heather has taken care of our 6 year old border collie, Kylie, several times when we are in a bind and our usual spots are full for boarding. Her dog and my dog play and love on each other during our doggie play dates at our house. She is very mindful of her dog and their interaction with other dogs. Heather would make any animal in her care feel like her own pup. She loves animals and would be an amazing pet sitter, dog walker, whatever is required! I highly recommend her for this job and would trust my dog with her without hesitation.

My home is fenced in with a dog door to access the backyard. My dog is crate trained and is currently working her to way to free roaming the home when I am not home. She would be crated along with your dog preferably when both are at my home if I am unable to supervise them. I tend to bring my dog with me wherever I go to help engage her in new activities and surroundings. If that's ok with owners I would be able to include your fur child in these outings as well, as long as they are well mannered on leash. Otherwise lots of stimulation activities (catered to age) are a must for all dogs of all ages wishing your home.
Information Heather K. would like to know about your pet
Let me know what your typical routine is with your fur child. I'd like to keep a similar routine that way it minimizes any stress and anxiety. I'd also love to know what commands you use as well continue with the pattern. Please list off any potential behavior problems (ie: chewing/digging/escaping) that might come about with a new person or interactions with another dog.
A typical day
I like to give as much stimulation, mentally and physically, to animals in my care. Whether it's training with commands or playing fetch with a ball. All activists can be fun and rewarding in many different ways.

Availability
I'm a full time nurse at night but that only includes 2-3 shifts a week. Otherwise my life outside of work revolves around staying active and getting my dog outside and enjoying life. Whether your fur child is in need of a potty break/walk, socialization with another dog, or even a lap to lay in, I come with a pretty open schedule most of the week to help with your needs.
