Pet care experience
Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile! Since I was a child, I’ve taken care of dogs. I grew up with a sweet, special needs bichon frise and cocker spaniel. As an adult I was a dog mom to a wonderful Jack Russell. When Roxy crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago, I started house sitting and walking dogs for neighbors, friends, and family. I have experience with all dogs- young, old, and special needs. I have given medication to cats and dogs for medical conditions and separation anxiety, in addition to providing extra love and care. I love animals and would be glad to help you have a wonderful vacation knowing your pets are well cared for! If you have any questions, feel free to be in touch. A little more about my background: I graduated in 2003 from John Hopkins University with a Master’s in Education. I'm an elementary school teacher. I teach close by and can drop in anytime. I can provide house sitting in your home and /or mine. I can take care of your pet’s individual needs.

As a new puppy parent I was very concerned about leaving our little Cavapoo over night but Heather was a wonderful dog-sitter and once I met her I was so relieved knowing our puppy would be in capable hands. She made sure he was taken out to go potty, she played with him and she even managed to give him his pill which I couldn’t get him to take.
We’ve used Heather now two times for an in home stay as well as several check ins and couldn’t be happier. The house is always in great shape upon return and the dogs are always happy to see her and stress free for our arrival home. Heather is great about keeping in contact and sends pictures daily. Instructions have always been followed and if anything little needs attention Heather is always willing to help. It brings me peace of mind knowing Heather is in our life whenever we need to travel.
I feel very lucky to have found Heather to care for our 3 mini golden doodles over Christmas. We planned a meet and greet a couple weeks ahead and immediately the dogs liked her. We had great communication ahead of her stay in our home and I felt very comfortable leaving her with all the directions we discussed. She took great care of the dogs and our home. Heather followed all directions, was flexible in her schedule and even sent us a few pictures. Upon our return the dogs were all happy and relaxed a clear sign they were well cared for. We will definitely be happy to book Heather again.
Heather was amazing with Finn! We didn’t have to worry about a thing. She was also flexible with pick up and drop off times. We were so appreciative of her care of our pup. 🐶💕
