Pet care experience
I currently have a semi- feral lab-terrier mix, Riley, who we are currently training, and a dachshund mix Nick. I also have 7 cats, ranging in ages and needs. All of our pets came from the shelter or the streets! I raised and trained my chocolate lab Denson, who lived a wonderful 13 years with me until he went to the Rainbow Bridge in June 2017. I lost my 12 year old black lab mix Emma in July 2022 due to cancer. I have fostered through rescues, both long and short term. I have experience with semi- feral and senior dogs, cats and kittens, and puppies. I am patient, loving, and enjoy playing with animals. I have experience with training dogs using positive reinforcement.

Heather was amazing with our dog, max. Max is shy so heather had to work extra hard to gain his trust and by the end of their 4 visits, they are bff's!
Heather is so amazing! I have an elderly dog and a cat that doesn’t like people. Heather was so good in keeping me up to date with my dog’s behaviors and we had to adjust schedules visits because of his inability to hold it. She was so flexible and great. My cat loves her! I’m so shocked and amaze. I highly recommend Heather.

For in home boarding, we have cats so we will need visiting animals to be okay with cats. We also have a doggy door for access outside as needed, a large fenced yard, and covered patio outside.

A typical day
Typical day in my house with animals includes waking up, going outside, playing, and having breakfast. The dogs can stay outside as long as they’d like, and I set up a cat play area every morning. When visiting pets in their home, we can do whatever makes them happy- play, sit outside, get pets, etc. I devote all of my attention to your pets when I visit, and will follow your directions exactly!
