I have owned and been around animals my entire life. Ranging from dogs to horses, I have always been immersed and involved passionately in animal care since I was a little girl, which has even spawned an interest in pursuing a veterinary career. Currently I am in college (online), and have a very flexible part time job as an associate development manager Despite not being employees in animal care right now, I have previously had extensive professional history working with animals. My first job was at a dog kennel. I started as just part-time, but eventually became full-time taking on the responsibilities of two other employees. There I worked with dogs of all ages and sizes (including newborn puppies, show-dogs, and rescues) and was responsible for: cleaning cages, doing laundry, feeding, walking, giving medications (pills, worming, injections), handling the cash register, answer phone calls, making appointments, making reservations/checking clients in/out, and also closing the kennel. After this position, I went off to college. When I returned I got another job at a different kennel and was promoted within 6 months. Furthermore, I have professional experience working as a dog walker under other companies for years. At this point I have decided to venture off by myself. Additionally, My current position at "Right At Home"-- my parents business which provides in home care assistance for the elderly. I have experiences from there in doing some HR and office work (answering the phone, filing , calling references, phone interviews, day-to-day tasks, etc.), as well as hands on work with the clients providing transportation to/from appointments and standard companion work. In addition I have also worked odd varying jobs such as babysitting, pet-sitting, at a petting zoo doing pony rides, and as horseback riding girl scout camp counselor. I also am very involved with a German Shepard rescue, having even fostered for them. Currently I have 3 dogs of my own and 2 cats. I enjoy and love all animals! I appreciate being able to have 1 on 1 time with them which is why I am motivated to get back to this. I have a lot of professional experience and history, making me very qualified. No matter the animal, I am always happy to care for them.
