Pet care experience
I grew up on a small farm. I've been caretaking and loving animals for as long as I can remember. I recently lost my furry companion just shy of her 18th birthday. I will give the same love and attention to your pet as I did my own. I live in a small cottage close to a dog friendly beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Because of my small space I can host only one or two pets at a time, giving your pet the individual attention and care that they deserve while you are away.

Very grateful for Heather & her time with our pup. She gave awesome photo updates & took our pup on plenty of walks with a ton of door time. She was very accommodating & gave some great recommendations for spots near by.
Heather was great! She was very easy to communicate with and took great care of Pepper. She even went above and beyond by taking her to a nearby doggie beach! Pepper was very happy and tired after her outings with Heather.
Otis did day care with Heather. Heather was great. She is caring and has a real good sense of interacting with dogs. She sent us pictures of Otis nice and cozy next to her fireplace. We were worried as first time Rover users leaving our dog with a stranger, but Heather was calm and made us feel confident in her abilities. You won’t regret booking with her. Fireplace, plenty of cozy spots for the dogs, and a basket full of toys.
Heather took such wonderful care of our high energy boy—taking him for daily adventures, providing lots of comfy cuddles, and coddling his whining while he was anxious. She even took the time to work with him on the heel command. I think he probably had more fun in Tahoe than we did this weekend!

I have a fenced in yard. I currently have no pets of my own due to my girl crossing the Rainbow Bridge. My cottage has a dog bed next to the fire, a big baskets full of toys and all of the good dog treats. The dog friends that come to visit find joy and peace at the cottage.

A typical day
Fun activities include spending time at the beach for certain. I also like to walk dogs around town, in the forest or along the multitude of bike paths around the Lake. I can also bike and paddleboard with your pup, if they're up for it. During the winter I ice skate and Nordic ski on the regular.

Availability
My days revolve around the needs of animals. I have a beautiful garden that I spend most of my daylight hours in. Daily romps at the lake and saunters around the neighborhood ensure plenty of stimulation and exercise.
