I Take More Than Tourists for Walks
Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Heather but everyone calls me Jab. I'm the proud parent of a four-year-old pit terrier rescue named Grace, as well as living with my brother's german shepherd, Nala. I also spent most of my childhood with a labrador retriever rescue named Ginger. Needless to say, I have a bit of experience working with large energetic dogs. I love them, they love me, and unlike theatre-going audiences, they don't offer unsolicited responses to my performances (usually.) My other jobs, when the world isn't in lockdown, is guiding ghost tours in the gaslamp district, and working on my multimedia production group. Because of this, my schedule is nothing if not completely adaptable, and I myself have become more resilient than you could possibly imagine. I have yet to meet a pet that I don't love, or a challenge that I can't meet. Except maybe the high note in The Phantom Of The Opera, I think that might be a bit out of reach, so I just have to settle for making every animal I meet love me instead.
Reviews
Heather is a wonderful person and is a natural with animals, especially dogs. They have a dog of their own and shows absolute love and affection towards her and shows a compassion for any and all animals.

Information Heather "Jab" J. would like to know about your pet
I have no preferences when it comes to breeds, but for basic information, I'd like to know how much and how often they eat, how much play they need, and if there's anything I should be on the lookout for. For example, Grace is prone to overheating, so as the days warm up I keep a close eye on her and tend to alter her walk schedule to be closer to sunrise or sunset, as well as making sure that she doesn't overexert herself. I also want to know what your pet loves, so that I can do my absolute best to make them the happiest they can be.
A typical day
I'm more than willing to take dogs on long walks (I typically average about an hour per walk with Grace), give them baths as necessary, and make sure to give them a fully engaged visit. If there's a particular kind of play that they like, I'm adaptable. If you tell me that your pup likes to get their belly rubbed while listening to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, well then who am I to judge? I'm here to help you and your pet, and I want to do everything in my power to give you the best possible experience.
