I have been an animal lover since I was a small child. My first dog as a child, around seven-years-old, had to be bottle fed since her mommy had been killed. Over the years, I took in many needed animals to care for. My first job was at Galesburg Animal Hospital, which I worked at from the age of fifteen until I was almost twenty. There I learned to care for animals even more. I have dog sat many people’s pets since high school, as well. I am a huge animal advocate, therefore do a lot of volunteer work with dogs in shelters and rescue groups. I am also working on my certification through Animal Behavior College to be a dog trainer. I have a great deal of passion and compassion when it comes to animals. I feel like humans are responsible to take care of them because they are more innocent and vulnerable than us but often times humans cause more harm. Therefore, I feel called to help them in any way that I can. I love caring for animals and therefore have done it, my whole life. I have had over eight rescue dogs myself. I foster, train, and dog sit as well as volunteer for many animal organizations. I am an advocate for the fair treatment of animals, against breed specific legislation, and of rescue organizations.
