Always There For Your Best Friend!
Pet care experience
I’ve had pets in my life-for my entire life! I've been so fortunate to have had a family pet in my life since I was born. I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, and fish. I understand the love and compassion that our pets bring into our lives and I always strive to treat your pets like my own! I've been pet sitting since I was a teenager and have been the go to sitter for friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family. I’ve worked with rescues, puppies, seniors, and everything else in between. I have experience administering both viral and injected medication and have worked with rambunctious dogs to those that are older and need their space. I also have experience caring for cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, lizards, fish, frogs, houseplants, coy ponds, and large gardens! I have a 6 year old vizsla/coonhound rescue named Murray at home! He's an active dog that loves playtime with other dogs of all sizes and loves going camping, taking walks, and playing tug of war.
Reviews
Heather was fantastic all around. She was very patient with our dog’s puppy energy, provided daily updates and great pictures of our pup, and was very flexible. Her dog, Murray, was a great playmate for Kota too. Hoping she’s available next time I need a sitter!
Heather and her husband took great care of our fearful pups. They were communicative, patient, friendly and attentive. During the stay they send many pictures and updates, which we appreciate very much. Highly recommend!
Heather took fantastic care of my two girls! She was easy to coordinate and communicate with before and during their stay, and she sent lots of photos and updates so I could relax and know they were well taken care of. It’s clear that her family loves dogs and that my girls were not just cared for, but really adored. I’ll definitely book again!!
Thank you for having B on a holiday! We appreciate you guys ❤️

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood and a friendly dog at home to keep your furry friend company. I am happy to take your pet on frequent walks or let them out as needed, depending on your pet’s needs. Fresh water is always available and I will feed your pet as requested. Many of my clients have food allergies and I am very cautious when feeding your pet and follow all feeding instructions. Happy to make time for playtime and give treats as requested. While I typically only take in one dog at a time when boarding or doing daycare (unless there are multiple dogs from one family). I am open to making exceptions but require that all dogs and families meet prior to booking. I do have two step-children (ages 15 & 12) that are home 50% of the time. I try to book when they are not home but will let you know if schedules overlap before we book! I am certified with the American Red Cross in Dog/Cat First Aid which expires 04/15/2026 and I carry petsitting insurance through Pet Care Insurance (PCI). This annual policy expires 07/20/2024.

Information Heather J. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs. It’s helpful to know your pet’s typical daily routine and their activity level. Are there any behavioral issues I need to know about? Is your pet on any medication or do they have any allergies? Where do they like to sleep? Are they are allowed to have treats? Is your pet crate trained? Is your pet current on all vaccines? I require a meet and greet before scheduling any service so we can meet in person and make sure it is a good fit for your pet.
A typical day
I always want to make sure your pet is well cared for and stimulated throughout the day. Whether that means taking in new smells during a walk through the neighborhood, playtime in the house or in the yard, or just giving your pet some space and quiet time; I’ll make sure they feel loved, stick to their routine, and get the attention they need.

Availability
Working remotely full time gives me the ability to be there for your pet 100%. When your dog is at my house, I am able to let your dog out into my fenced yard for supervised play and will give frequent potty breaks as needed. I also schedule time throughout the day to take your dog on walks as requested. When I am housesitting, I will work remotely from your home and therefore I aim to work around your pet's normal routine.
