Pet care experience
I've been around pets and animals my whole life and have loved every minute of it! Whilst growing up there was always a cat or a dog just around the corner ready to be pet, and even less common pets like Chinese water dragons and bearded dragons. In addition to looking after these animals of my own and for friends and family, I've also had experience looking after chickens for a client - a much more rewarding experience than most people realise! While a natural love of animals makes looking after pets very easy, I must admit my degree in animal management has really helped me fill in any small gaps in my knowledge.

Heather has been looking after my dog Daisy for a few years now. Daisy is quite a nervous dog but is always happy to see Heather which puts my mind at ease when I leave her. Heather is quite flexible, even coming to look after Daisy in an emergency. I wouldn’t leave my little Daisy with anyone else.
Heather has been a godsend! Our previous dog sitter cancelled on us last minute, and we have 3 dogs and 6 chickens! Bit of a nightmare trying to get someone who would look after all that at a drop of a hat! However Heather was amazing and was able to look after our animals at such short notice. We went away knowing that they would be very well looked after. And returned to very well pampered doggies and chickens Couldn’t recommended enough!
Heather has taken care of my dogs many times. She is extremely reliable and my dogs are always happy to see her. Heather displays a good understanding of my dogs needs and behaviours which I think is why my dogs are happy to be with her. It is so important to have peace of mind that my dogs will taken care off which is exactly what I get when I leave them within Heathers care.

I have many ways I can care for your pet either in your home or on walks, such as ensuring the area/route is safe for your pet beforehand and making sure I have any food/medicines etc needed ahead of time. I am also more than happy to accommodate any addition requests from owners to make sure the pets are as happy as possible under my care. One thing that I think is a fantastic idea is to meet the owners and their pets before any arrangements are made. This is to give both the owner and their pet a chance to meet me and make sure we are a good fit together, especially in terms of making sure the pet will be comfortable. This is also a great opportunity to have any questions answered that may have come up.

In order to give the best care I can there are a few things I would like to know about your pet: -allergies -dietary requirements -medication -anything that makes the animal stressed such as: fireworks, certain sounds etc -favourite toys -daily routines
A typical day
Depending on the location I am able to take pets to local parks or beaches if near the coast, but always happy for recommendations on local favourite spots! I also love exploring different ways I can interact with pets in their own home, which can include supervising the pets using a destruction box, using doggy treat puzzles and other similar activities for enrichment.

Availability
I'm currently working at a doggy daycare self-employed, which means my hours are flexible in order to help me look after your pet. During the weekends I am available for drop ins and walks, and don't have any restrictions on when I can housesit. While housesitting I also have the option of working less hours at the daycare to focus on my clients' needs or wishes.
