Making dogs happy makes me happy!
Pet care experience
I grew up with a very big, very sweet golden retriever named Rocky. Like most dog lovers and their childhood pups, I thought he was the greatest dog who ever lived. Until I met Rufus, my next dog. And then there was Coda! I realized that I just love dogs. I'll play fetch, walk, play, or snuggle to your dog's content. I'm also a runner and frequent hiker, so if your dog is especially high energy, I would love to take him/her out for some more intense exercise. And having watched a couple of beloved dogs who were sick or at the end of their lives, I have a soft spot for dogs that need extra care. I work evenings and occasional weekends, and my schedule is relatively flexible. I'm available during most daytimes.

Heather has been amazing each time she has stayed with my four animals -- a Great Dane, a super-energetic Aussie, a tiny terrier, and my witchy grey cat. This time, while I was in the UK to meet my newborn grandson, Heather outdid herself in caring for my Great Dane who required emergency surgery to remove three toys from her stomach and intestines. Keeping the young Aussie from destroying things in my absence has been a challenge for others, but Heather seems to be great at keeping his energy low and his behavioral standards high. I came home to a clean house and happy, healthy pets. Heather is the very best!

Heather was great. Murphy is a big, sometimes a bit crazy, puppy. Heather rolled with the craziness to be rewarded with the sweet dog he ca be. Confident, trust worthy and competent. We will book her again. In fact, we already have.,
Heather has taken care of Rufous many times over the last four years. His humans went on a trip to Europe for over a month recently and, rather than leaving him with a friend in their hometown, they brought him from Alaska to Washington so that Heather could watch him. She loves him so much and Rufous just has the best time. It's a relief to not have to worry about him and know that he's getting all the love, attention, and exercise he deserves. The only problem is that one of these days Rufous might not want to go home!
