Pet care experience
We are blessed to have our two dogs. With one being deaf and them both getting up there in years, we understand the need for a safe, reliable and trustworthy place to board your pets. I grew up on a dairy farm and have always had the blessing of animals in my home and my husband grew up with a slew of odd animals, being in a military family. I am a photographer that works from home. When I say I'll be home, I AM HOME and your pets will be part of our family. Tiny to the tall, we love them all. Our home sits on Lake Vernon in Leesville. Our back yard is fenced in and our deck area in that yard is very large and can be enclosed as well. Whether running or on their leash, your pet will never be alone while outdoors. Our floors are solid surfaces.

I had the pleasure of watching Heather's two well-behaved dogs recently, and it was a delightful experience. Heather was organized, punctual, and made sure I had everything I needed. Heather is AMAZING. She cares for my pup as if he is her own. My dog has a tendency to be a handful and she handles it with ease. Will be using her again and again and will refer to everyone I know.

For the crated pets, we have crates. For the loose around the house pets, our big kitchen is tile with the other areas being solid flooring. We do not allow pets on the furniture BUT we have low large window benches that they are welcome to lay on and watch the wildlife on the extreme weather days. Dog beds are welcomed. We have big pines out back for shade and a huge deck area to lay out and sunbathe.

We cannot host un-spayed or un-neutered dogs or cats. If your male still has testicles intact, he is not neutered. For insurance reasons, no Pit Bulls or known aggressive dogs please. If your pet is a nervous leaker or a happy tail pet, please let us know. I recommend scheduling a day stay if you'd like to check that we are the right fit for your pet. We will require contact information for your vet, as well as a current shot record. We always recommend a flea preventative.
A typical day
Whether running with our dogs and chasing birds or being walked on a leash is requested, your pets will get plenty of exercise while staying with us. Both my husband and I love being outdoors working on our property! We are early birds and our dogs are as well. Our pups get their breakfast around 6:30 am and then outside for a good walk around. We'd sure love to include your pup as well!

I work from home on occasion and that is mostly laptop or print work. When keeping your pets, they will be my priority. I expect the same from the people who care for mine. My calendar will be kept up to date, so be sure to book early. My pets are older and prefer to be kept cool (short nose breeds) and warm in the winter. Sunning outside is always a must and we have the grass to do it. Knowing that pet preferences and potty schedules differ, just let me know what they'd prefer otherwise they can just hang out with me and my pups daily.
