PUPPY RETREAT W/ FENCED YARD
Pet care experience
We're experienced dog sitters. We walk and have an active dog friendly lifestyle. We are experienced caring for multiple dogs with different needs and energy levels simultaneously. We currently share our lives with a Toy poodle and 2 Newfoundlands... Our guests have been young energetic juveniles, puppies and special needs seniors injured and recovering dogs. We have 2 rooms; 1 is setup like a living space and the other like a bed room. The goal is maximum comfort and anxiety reduction. This should feel like a home away from home.
Reviews
Heather and Chris were amazing hosts for our Golden Retriever, Riley. They were willing to take her last minute when we were needing to travel from Oklahoma to Georgia. They were so kind and did everything they could to make Riley's stay fun and enjoyable. Their backyard is a doggy paradise! Actually, a paradise for people, too! Even when we came to pick up Riley, Chris made sure that Riley was bathed before the long trip back to Oklahoma. I would definitely use Heather and Chris, again.
Heather and her husband were amazing with our dogs. This was our first time boarding with them. When we arrived, they gave us a full tour of their yard (it is huge and has lots of fun stuff for the pups!!), and all of the areas where the dogs would be. I love that they have a separate area to integrate the dogs ensuring that they are all safe. Heather sent us daily photos and videos. The pups were worn out from so much playing when we picked them up. We will definitely have our dogs stay with Heather again!!
Heather and her family were very caring and made our dog feel at home.
Hands down the best!!! Wouldn’t leave our pup with any other family. They treat Mango with so much love and care! Heather and her family are the best and they send the highest quality pics and videos!!

Safety, trust & environment
My 1/2 acre doggie wonderland, is fenced and safe. Dogs in our care are never left outside alone, always have access to clean water, food and snacks. We introduce dogs slowly. We enjoy the yard and a soft bed as individuals or a group depending on temperament. We will likely walk your dog... so dont forget to bring a leash. We rotate puppies on a schedule, so everyone gets a chance to go outside several times a day and sit on the sofa or lay in the bed and watch ESPN. The outdoor space has motion activated lights, so we can see your pup as they move through the yard at night.

Information Heather G. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pets have special concerns... I need to be made aware of meds... special food mixtures... or if they can't climb stairs... Incontinent... or disability...I can't give my best service if I dont know what you need. Please know, I separate new pet friends, and introduce them to the group when everyone is calm. I will not expect your pup to like other dogs. Boarding is a stressful time and it is not the best time to expect them to make new friends, with dogs and people they do not know... but we will try our best to make this a great experience for everyone. The fur baby space is separated from the rest of the house. So your pet will not come in contact with service people or visitors or even other dogs...if that is your preference.
A typical day
Our day begins with a walk... breakfast. Outdoor free play.. We have nap time... then it is time for snacks and playtime. We play inside and out. We explore because... of course we do, the world is awesome! ...Then we have a snack in a kong and a nap.. then we have dinner and another walk. Pups are outside atleast 3 times a day and all have at least 1 walk... additional walks and outdoor time are dependent on temperament. We have an integration process that starts with the kennel room, moves to the sofa in my office, and dogs that make friends with everyone ... can come upstairs and chill in the livingroom. We understand this is a stressful time for your pup and do not put them in a situation that would make them feel unsure or lash out. We have my office and Kennel room set up as a small living and bed room for your pets comfort.
