I enjoy spending time with dogs. I've been an active dog walker for a friend for the past 3 months and my time with her dog is about to end. However, my fondness for walking dogs has not! I've been around dogs my entire life. Growing up my family had small dogs. Lots of energy in those little guys! For the past 20 years or so it's been mostly bigger dogs like labs and mixed breeds in the large category. I understand the differences in all dogs, and act accordingly. My availability is 5:30am-7:30am weekdays, lunch hour walks if local to Horseheads, evenings are usually anytime from 6pm-10pm. Weekends are more flexible. If you have a dog that would like some off leash time we can discuss some options there as well. I'm an open and caring person ready to work with you and your dog.

The more we know Heather, the more we love her! This was the Second time Heather took care of our girls. Our Smokey Girl is very special when it comes to "Strangers" however she warmed up to Heather. She sent us pictures and detailed reports while we were away. That helps tremendously as we were in another Country! HIGHLY Recommended!! Trusted, reliable, dependable and with a great heart! We will call her again in a heartbeat! She is awesome! :)
Heather does an awesome job with my puppy! She can redirect him and get him to behave himself and keep his attention without him knowing he is doing what he is actually supposed to be doing! He loves her and his walks with her. Glad I found her to help me with him during my long work day! And she gives our mostly shy kitty some special attention we he grants her with his presence!

The most important thing I feel I would need to know is how the dog is around other dogs. Is your dog friendly to other dogs? Are there types of dogs that yours does not like (big dogs may not like small dogs or vice versa)? Is the walk primarily for exercise or is this a "business trip" where the dog goes out to relieve themselves?
A typical day
Typical walks would be where the owner prefers. I will absolutely take your dog to my neighborhood if they want a change. I can also offer a little off leash time in the woods if you think your dog would enjoy it and is properly trained. What we do is really up to the owner and the dog!
