Pet care experience
I have been in every aspect of dogs you can imagine for the last 30+ years. From pet and Therapy to Medical Service work and K9 (bomb and drug detection). I have dipped my toes in Agility, Rally, Obedience, Barnhunt, Dock Diving, and so so much more. I specialize in nervous pups and Giant breeds. I make your pup as comfortable as our own and send updates as often as you like!
Reviews
Heather and her pups were absolutely amazing. We left our boy jackson with her for 3 nights and she kept us updated everyday! highly recommend!!
I have 2 very old, very opinionated, scared mini schnauzers. Heather has watched them many times, even groomed them for me (and they Hate grooming!) with no incidents. They love her and we get frequent updates and pictures from her. My husband (Fire Chief) and I travel frequently and no longer need anyone to babysit as Heather is their favorite hands down.
I had a wonderful experience with Heather as our dog sitter for Charlie. She provided daily updates and pictures, ensuring we were always informed about his well-being. Her punctuality in picking up and dropping off Charlie added an extra layer of convenience to the overall positive experience. Highly recommended!
We have 3 dogs. A 9 yr old Terrier/Bully type, a 1 yr old Staffie/Bully type, and a 6 yr old Cattle Dog. All of which lack on manners and can "forget" they are house trained... none are crate trained. The cattle dog is dog aggressive and very sensitive. We struggle when we have to travel back to NY to find a babysitter. Have used Heather 4x and will continue to be my go-to because the cattle dog feels at home and has yet to find himself in a bad situation with her. The pup actually has some manners now and even behaves off leash!! The old man is never very thrilled about change and he tends to sleep under Heather's chair legs. She does a great job of sending us pictures and pupdates so we don't have to worry.

Safety, trust & environment
I work with dogs on off leash skills so that they are safer both here and home. No offleash work is done without owner consent. I spend a lot of time with these pups and they get to play with our pups, supervised at all times. I have a lot of experience with rehabbing and resocializing dogs from shelters, so we are very familiar with sensitive or special needs. Medications are not a problem as we have extensive medical knowledge also.

Information Heather D. would like to know about your pet
If you give me a written schedule or list of things your pet needs to feel at home, I try to closely adhere to it. Your pets comfort is my utmost priority. Food and medication are important to note, but also when your pet likes to get up or go to bed. When he or she likes to go outside. Etc.
A typical day
I take them out in the morning to "help" with chores. They get to visit the chickens, ducks, and rabbits. They get to see the horses, goats, and cows but not too closely. They get to play in our 10 acre field and snoof through the woods. They get time in front of the fireplace and evening outings to do chores too.

Availability
I work from home, I have an active but small farm. There's a lot of time spent around a camp fire and walking through the fields and woods. Dogs are encouraged to play (with suitable dogs they feel comfortable with), run, hike, and go to town for snacks and groceries with us.
