Pet care experience
To me, there is no greater feeling than loving a dog and being loved by one. I am so fortunate to have grown up with many dogs in my family who became my best friends/siblings. :) I understand the special connection and love humans and dogs share with one another and I know how vital it is to know that your pet is in good hands while you're away. I have experience caring for dogs for over 20 years, including many different breeds and sizes. Whether it was my own Black Labs, my neighbor's Bernese or Bichon, my friend's Pitbull, or my brother's Rhodesian Ridgeback, I am very comfortable and easily adapt to the different needs and personalities of any dog. I love making friends with neighborhood pups and I truly feel the the happiest in life when I'm with dogs. I know that I would be the attentive and caring helper you and your dog would need and I would love to help take care of your dogs while you're away. I am available Thursday mornings (before 12) and Friday afternoons (after 3) consistently for drop-in visits and walks. Other times of the week/weekend are possible, just let me know what you’re looking for and I will do my best to accommodate! Heather was absolutely amazing! Being a new puppy mommy, trying to raise Millie on my own has had some extreme ups and downs. Heather was so kind with supportive words after this stay. I love doing a planned meet-and-greet with the dog and their owner so I can understand what their typical daily schedule looks like, as well as how they move about in their space! It’s great for me to know where medications/vet info/emergency contact, toys, food, treats, walking supplies, etc. are so that there is no confusion when it’s time for the walk and so the dog’s routine stays as normal as possible while their owner is away!

I love planning a meet-and-greet with the owner and dog typically before the first walk so that I can get all the necessary information about the dog and their schedule! It’s also great to swap any medical/vet info, location of the dog’s toys, food, etc. so that there are no questions about it later! I like to be in touch with the owner and give updates on walk with pics, too after each walk. It’s really helpful for me to know any behavioral things, medical history, and even just what their favorite toy is. :)
A typical day
I am ready to be on the move and love long walks, snuggles, fetch, working on tricks, and just relaxing! I live near the park which is handy for walks and I’m very comfortable in getting around the neighborhood. I like to base things on the dog’s personality and needs so no dog walk looks quite the same!
