Dedicated and Loving Pet Care
Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for people’s pets for the past 10 years, from petsitting to bathing and everything in between. I started out petsitting for family and friends, outside of our own family pets, and now I’ve joined Rover! I have experience caring for all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and ages. I’ve done basic, potty, and crate training and even trained my own mastiff since he was 3 months old! I have experience with senior pets (mainly dogs and cats) and administering oral or topical meds.
Reviews
Provided updates and pictures during the day. My doggie enjoyed his first stay. Would recommend. Will book again.
Heather was very reliable, knowledgeable, and provided constant updates as I requested over the weekend. Really allowed me to enjoy my family trip without having to worry about my cats being home alone! I would for sure recommend her, 10/10!
Heather has gone above and beyond caring for pets all her life. She has 5 cats, Marley, Nala, Max, Ruby, and Hammy who are extraordinarily spoiled. She also has an English Mastiff (Ozzy) who is pampered to no end. Animals have been her #1 love since day one. She has done extensive research on the best pet foods, dangerous and safe human foods, the safest toys, appropriate amount of playtime for each breed, common health problems, and maintaining the best overall wellbeing of your pet. There is nobody I would rather trust more to take care of my fur babies than Heather!
We had a really great experience with Heather dog sitting for us while we went on vacation. We did a meet and greet prior to dropping off our dog and it really reassured us, we got to see how well her dog got along with ours and I’m glad our dog had a playmate while we were away. She was flexible with drop off and pick up times, and sent us a bunch of photos and a video during our trip. I would definitely recommend her as a pet sitter!

Safety, trust & environment
I have fridge/freezer space for any personalized treats or medication that may need to be kept cold. I have a large yard and a friendly dog to keep yours company, unless they prefer alone time I can keep them separated and can close off our bedroom to give them their own space. I have baby gates to use for partial separation if that’s what works for them but I advise on bringing your crate for me to use if that’s your preference. Although fun and socializing are great, safety is my top priority. I have experience using all kinds of leashes, collars, and harnesses for walking and training.

Information Heather C. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know if: - your pet is reactive or timid at all - they play well with other cats/dogs or not - they require medications at any point - they have any triggers, places, people, things that set them off or upset them so I can avoid putting them in that position - their usual daily schedule (feeding, play, potty) - I’d like their vet/medical care and local contact info just in case - what their training level is and if crate trained
A typical day
I have a 20’ lead in my yard since it isn’t fenced and love to take pets to play outside (weather permitting), otherwise I have space inside to play with them using toys or food puzzles. I can walk them in their/your neighborhood or take them for a walk on the shaded walk trail near my house if they’d like a new walk route to explore. I can also put on any tv shows or music they like and have books I can read to them if that’s something they enjoy :)

Availability
I only have classes Tuesday/Friday and don’t work otherwise so I’m home 24/7 all other days of the week. I go for at least 1 walk per day (weather permitting) on a nearby peaceful shaded walk/hike trail, and practice basic training or provide quality play time throughout the day with toys and food puzzles. I take pets out every couple of hours for potty time (unless otherwise instructed). I’m open to setting phone alarms if any pets require a strict/particular schedule.
