Caring, happy pet lover
Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Heather and I am so excited to be able to offer my services to help with your pet's care. I find helping busy fur parents beneficial for everyone involved, especially your beloved 4-legged friend. I will care for your fur baby as if s/he were my own, and hope to build a lasting clientele where I will have unique relationships with all of the families I service. I have pets of my own as well. Currently in my home I have 1 female senior cat, 1 male hound mix dog who gets along with everyone, a small flock of 2 laying hens, and 3 pet rats. In the past I have had a dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, various rodents, chickens, and am comfortable with exotics as well, if you need care for them while you're away! Dog walking: I am happy to take your dog of any size for a walk around the neighborhood or on a nearby trail. I always clean up after the animals I am caring for, as well as keep their needs in mind during their walks. Every time I take your pup for a walk, you will see a map with your report card showing where we explored, along with any pics I capture along the way. When requesting dog walks, please give me a 2-hour time window so I can schedule to be sure everyone I see gets the care they need! Drop Ins: long work days? Vacation? I would be delighted to spend some time loving on your furry friend(s). When I drop in on your pet(s), you can expect we will go on a short walk (weather permitting) and/or play in the yard, maybe play a game of find the treat, feeding, medication if needed, and genuine interaction so your little guy or girl knows they are loved and their needs are met. I will be respectful of your home and your things. Please let me know where to find the things I will need to use (leash, treats, food, meds, litter, etc) so I can have the best time with your pet(s) as possible. I also clean up litter and food that gets scattered or any other messes your pet might make while in my care, so be sure to let me know where to find any related cleaning supplies. For cat drop-ins: unless your kitty needs a specific time for meds, I will plan to visit them sometime between 10am-4pm while I am out walking dogs, so please let me know if you need a specific time. For boarding: Please plan to drop off/pick up between 7-9am or 5-7pm My home has a fenced back yard, so your pup will be free to run around with mine every 2-3 hours (or more!). When your pup is our guest, they will be with my family and our pets, and definitely pet/snuggled/loved/walked whatever we happen to be doing they are welcome to join us. If we do leave the house, the dogs are crated/separated, with a camera, and never alone more than 3-4 hours.
Reviews
Heather has been doing weekly check-ins for our pup Sadie for about a month now. She always leaves detailed rover cards and takes great pictures so I know Sadie is in good hands. Not to mention, Sadie really seems to love her and looks forward to her visits. Heather’s been flexible with us and I would definitely recommend her services!
Koa enjoyed her walk!
Heather was wonderful about communicating, sharing pictures of my cat, and providing updates while I was away. She is very responsive and answered my texts in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
Thanks for kitty sitting with us again! Always know our kitties are in good hands with you ❤️

At the meet and greet we can go over care, access to your residence, make sure the animal(s) are comfortable, and any other important details I need to know to provide the best care possible.

Information Heather C. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences. For larger dogs who pull when walking, I highly recommend a pronged collar, or an easy walk harness. Before working with a dog, I would like to know: General temperament How s/he gets along with other animals Any training already established Allergies/special treats Health concerns
A typical day
When walking, I love to explore Aurora and Denver's many trails, or even your neighborhood sidewalks. I do occasionally jog and most dogs enjoy a brisk jog. Those who aren't into jogging with me will be walked at their pace. I can work on some basic training commands (heal, sit, wait, stay, come) with small treats provided by the pet's owner. If you are near a dog park, we can also incorporate playing there into our walk! When your dog comes over for daycare, they will get to play with my pup as much as they want to, as well as any guest pups who may be boarding at that time. They get access to my back yard as well as my home with my family so they will not be alone or bored! If daycare happens when they usually eat, provide a portion of food and I'm happy to give an evening meal. Please let me know if your pup has any food allergies or sensitivities as I do occasionally play games that involve treats.

Availability
my schedule and daily routine have me all over SE Aurora. I am all along the 225 and cover much of SE Aurora, from Parker Rd./chambers out to Tower Rd/Iliff. And between Parker Rd./Havana out to the 25/Evans. This is my full time job! I offer boarding in my home every day, as well as doggy daycare in the evenings between 4pm-8pm for established clients who want to give their pup some playtime with my pup. Between 10am-4pm I spend dropping in on kitties and walking dogs all over Aurora and its surrounding areas. Accommodations can be made outside of these hours on a case-by-case basis.
