Hello, my name is Rita, and I'm a widowed 83 year old woman living in Boston. I first met Heather a little more than 3 years ago on an elevator in our building, where she was walking another dog here. She had started working for herself as an independent dog-walker and had several clients in our building, all attained through recommendations by word of mouth. We struck up a conversation; my late husband and I had just adopted a Pomeranian named Sophie, and we were looking for someone to walk her. Heather soon afterwards began to, and it wasn't long before I asked her to do home-stays for us also when we went out of town, she had done many for her other clients. Fast forward: my husband and I took her in last year when she needed to move back to Boston for a little while in late 2016, after a brief stay in NYC, we trusted her implicitly and she needed a place to stay for a while. When my husband died this past June, Heather generously volunteered to stay with me a while longer to help in my life-transition. She has been invaluable to me, as an in-home assistant, both before Mel died, and with my Sophie, who she simply adores! I've seen first hand how she takes wonderful care of all of her other dog-clients over these years, and I know I can speak for all of them when I say that she will do an impeccable job in caring for future clients! I have trusted her beyond any doubt in my life here and Sophie and I will miss her greatly when she returns to NYC; you simply will not find anyone better!
