Pet care experience
I have always loved dogs, and I am definitely one of those people who will run over and ask to pet your dog if I see you walking down the street! My favorite part of interacting with and caring for dogs is building a trusting relationship with them and getting to know their unique personalities. Because I am not able at this time to have a dog of my own (small apartment), I relish time spent with other peoples' dogs. This bio is old but I don’t have time to re-write it and it won’t let me save it with less than 125 words, which is really weird. Heather has cared for my puppy several times while I have been out of town and I recommend her highly. She is consistently reliable and responsible and genuinely loves dogs. She spends extra time playing with my dog and taking her to the dog park. I feel safe leaving my dog in Heather's care and I would recommend her services to friends and family.
Heather is a natural with dogs! She was wonderful with my rescue pup, Henry. He can be a little skittish around people, but she was patient with him and now he's so excited to see her when she comes to walk him! She makes sure he gets a nice long walk and even spends a little extra play time with him after the walk. I highly recommend her!!

Before caring for a dog, I like to know if they have any health problems or need any special care, how they interact with other dogs, other animals, and children, dietary issues, 'toileting' routines, and things they like/don't like. Some of my favorite breeds are labs, bulldogs, retrievers, pitbulls, German shepards, pugs, huskies, and Daschsunds
A typical day
I live in Burbank and work as a psychologist in downtown LA. summer time tends to be a little slow so I have plenty of extra time to dog sit and walk. I always give the animals the full time agreed upon with the parent/owner and try to be as accommodating as possible. . My favorite place to take dogs I care for is the dog park where they can socialize and make new friends. I also love just walking around the neighborhood, trying different routes for the dogs to explore. I enjoy being physically active so I love engaging dogs in games like chase or catch. For dogs that are older or prefer more relaxed activities, I am happy to just hold and pet them, or just keep them company.
