Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals since I was 2 or 3. My family had dogs while I was growing up and when I was in my teens my dad started raising chickens. Because of this experience I am well equipped to handle any animals that need care.

Heather rules! Everyone was well taken care of and she left my houses just as tidy as I left it before I went away. Temped to low ball the review because I want to book her again the next time I travel!! Haha! Rare to find someone comfortable with birds and rabbits.
Heather was on time and efficient. Finn was totally relaxed when we got back- I’m not sure he realized we were gone. Heather did a great job keeping him company.

My last roommate had a puppy and while she managed most of the training, I’ve been learning patience even when the dog does something I don’t appreciate (like stealing my shoes). I also have a cat with my girlfriend, she is very sweet, loves to cuddle but randomly gets bouts of chaotic energy.

It’s important to know the dogs typical schedule, when they’ll want food or to go outside. It’s also important to know their intricacies, do they need medicine? Are they sensitive to specific noises or people? What do they like and dislike?
A typical day
I love playful dogs, whether it be fetch, tug of war, or just running around. One of my favorite activities is allowing dogs to chase me around. This is great exercise for the dog (not to mention myself) and teaches them to run towards you rather than away.

Availability
I am currently in graduate school and would like to make some extra money on weekends and in the evening. Taking care of pets is the perfect way to help relax from the stresses of school and make some spending money. Plus, the best homework breaks are playing with a pet.
