Pet care experience
I currently volunteer to walk and work with adoptable dogs at San Francisco Animal Care & Control (SF public animal shelter), and have been since April 2019. Before that time, I spent 8 months volunteering with the Humane Rescue Alliance (DC animal shelter) and have experience caring for dogs with many types of personalities. I have also been a dog walker since January 2018, and have completed more than 150 walks with my dog clients! I've also never lived in a house that didn't have at least one dog in it! I've lived with big dogs (labs and terriers) and small dogs (corgis and puppies) -- so I've got a wide range of experiences with a diverse set of dogs. I'm based near Glen Park, so please make sure you're in my service radius before sending me drop-in requests :) I only do drop-ins for dogs! Due to an allergy, I am unable to watch cats. I have a dog at home, Blue, an Australian Cattle Dog.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Heather is always on time and gives a thorough walk to our very energetic pitbull. I miss him during the day and Heather always sends tons of pictures and an adorably detailed description of all the things he sniffed that day. Most recently, we came home to the stuffing from one his former toys neatly piled up on a napkin for us to throw out. Hands down the best dog walker we have ever had.
Heather is extremely reliable, and her Rover reports on Rocky have been very valuable in helping our newly adopted dog adjust to his new environment.
Heather is really, really great! We just adopted a one-year-old shelter dog who is having some anxiety problems. I work from home, and I desperately needed someone to take him off my hands for an hour in order to concentrate on work and help him get some energy out. Heather was really fantastic, and spent lots of time making sure he got plenty of love, attention, and exercise. I am already booking her again the next day.
