CPR-Certified Pet Sitter/Walker

Pet care experience

Hello! I am a lifetime dog and cat owner, and a NAVTA-Approved graduate of Pima JTED's Veterinary Assistant program! Currently, I work as an assistant with one of Flagstaff's emergency hospitals! I have been trained to care for and groom dogs and cats of varying ages, breeds, and sizes. While pet-sitting, I can offer grooming services such as: ear cleaning, teeth brushing, anal gland expression, nail clipping, and bathing. In addition to grooming services, I am CPR and First-Aid certified for both dogs and cats. I am familiar with both juvenile and senior care, and can administer any necessary oral or topical medications for animals with pre-existing medical issues. For animals with behavioral issues, I am familiar with and confident in my handling of: dog, kennel, leash, and food aggression. If needed, I have additional experience caring for rodents, parakeets, and chickens.

Hayley has been very trustworthy, responsive and reliable, she's been kind with our animals and took great care of them. Communication was very good, we got pictures and updates. Highly recommended.

Hayley is amazing! This was my first time leaving my pets with anyone but close friends, so I was definitely nervous at first. This was quickly eased when Hayley made sure to keep me updated with photos on the regular! She even offered to go back and feed my pets dinner because I was getting home so late, and even took Simba for one more walk! She went above and beyond and I will definitely use Hayley again. I would recommend her to any pet parent out there who wants their pets to get excellent care and lots of love.

Hayley is amazing! She came by to meet my pets ahead of time and they were so comfortable with her. She let my dog out this weekend while I was at work for me. Super easy to communicate with, took photos, and kept me updated. She even checked on my cat even though she didn’t have to. Hayley is watching my pets while I am out of town and I’m so relieved to have someone I can trust staying with them!

Haley was a wonderful sitter, dog-walked and house sitter for both of my fur babies. I strongly recommend any and all of Haley’s Rover services. I felt completely comfortable and safe leaving my dogs in her care. I have an welder let dog with health issues and past dog aggression and a dog with “velcro” tendencies and both of them were comfortable, safe and well-cared for. I will 100% use Haley’s services again.

Information Hayley J. would like to know about your pet

I am open to any and all dogs! However, I would like to be notified of any pre-existing medical or behavioral problems. I am familiar with dog, leash, kennel, and food-aggressive behaviors, and completely willing to take on any dogs provided I receive warning beforehand.

A typical day

On walks, I like to take dogs to local parks and neighborhood trails. Otherwise, I am always willing to spend hours playing fetch, tug-of-war, and "find the chew toy."

I am currently a full-time student at NAU, and a part-time employee with Canyon Pet Hospital. I primarily work nights (as late as midnight), and may be away for as long as 8 hours. Otherwise, my classes can be attended remotely to spend more time with your pets! My mornings are typically free otherwise, and can be spent playing fetch and going on walks!
