Pet care experience
Believe it or not, I was afraid of dogs as a child. Once I got over that, I fell head over heels in love with them! My family owned two dogs when I was a teenager, a husky and a greyhound, who were both lovely. I also spent a wonderful summer working at a kennel that raises and trains seeing eye dogs, where I was responsible for feeding and caring for the dogs and cleaning the kennels. These days I volunteer with Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, where I handle dogs at their adoption events to hopefully find them good homes. I have been working with them for 3 years. I can't have a dog in my apartment right now, but I'd love to help you take care of yours!

I am not able to have pets in my apartment so would be unable to care for pets in my home, but I am happy to take care of them in the client's home. I love to play with the animals and give lots of pets and scratches. I also love going on long walks and would love to take your furry companion along. We would most definitely visit the dog park as well!

Please let me know if your dog is reactive or has any behaviors that I need to watch out for, or if they have any special preferences like places they don't like to be touched, etc. I would like to make sure we are both safe and comfortable.
A typical day
Dog park visits are a must, and I love to go for walks by the water, usually by the East River. I love to train basic commands for dogs (and provide treats, of course!) and play with toys.

Availability
I work from home four days a week and can fit in walks and drop-in visits on my lunch break and other breaks, as well as after work ends at 5 pm. I am also available for services on most weekends. I work in the office on Wednesdays so I'm unavailable those days.
