Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid, from spending hours a day trying to get closer to abandoned kittens, to stopping all plans to help any stray or lost dog I come across, animals are an automatic yes for me. My friends and family tell me I’m like a dog, in that I need long walks, playfulness, and lots of love to be happy. I’ve raised my own animals out in the mountain wilderness, in major cities, and in small towns, and together we’ve gone on some great adventures. Let me take your beloved pooch on a daily mini adventure!

I will participate in the proper command/training that you use, and will treat your home and your fur family with the utmost care and respect. I feel confident taking dogs on or off leash, and love going to the Santa Fe frank ortiz dog park with dog friendly dogs.

I understand what it's like when our dogs have extra needs. I have nursed one of my own dogs through lymphoma, another through multiple surgeries, and my other through a herniated disc injury. I know that just because they have different needs does not mean they aren't still dogs who have the same needs for love, fun, and excitement as every other dog.
A typical day
I love to let dogs be dogs, which means letting them show me what they want to do. I believe in allowing animals to be themselves, as long as they are being guided and kept safe by a loving caretaker (hopefully me!) I love swimming with dogs who are strong swimmers, or taking dogs to the mountains where they can run around or at least have some new smells to explore!

Availability
I’m a student completely online right now and have immense flexibility. I won’t walk at night after dark, but other than that I am largely open. Walking is my favorite thing in the world to do, especially with dogs, and I’m excited to get to do it as often as possible.
