Lifelong animal care experience
Pet care experience
UPDATE: I CAN NOW TAKE CARE OF YOUR OTHER FURRY/NOT SO FURRY FRIENDS. Applies to all services I provide. Please contact me to tell me all about your none dog/cat. Most quiet and tidy animals can stay at my flat assuming they are happy with an indoor quiet environment where I will be located at all times. More information in my profile. I have been surrounded by family pets all my life, in particular we have welcomed into our family one St Bernard, two Leonbergers and the most recent addition is a smiley Golden Retriever. Therefore I have plenty of experience with big dogs in the family home but I have also cared for friends smaller dogs such a Scotties, Jack Russell's, Border Collies and Terriors. For the cat lovers out there, I also have good ongoing experience working in a cattery which provides a top quality service to both the owners and the cats. I have managed the cattery for up to a week on various occasions. This has developed my awareness of cat and owner preferences as well as cat care. From my experience at the cattery I have demonstrated transparent service as it is beneficial to the cats happiness and owners. This is something I will apply when I care for your beloved pet. More broadly, my experience with animals spans further than dogs and cats. The years of experience noted on my profile is reflective of the number of years I have been directly responsible for my own animals rather than just helping to care for the family pets. The following animals I have been directly responsible for and loved since I was 10 years old are two siberian hamsters called tiny and Sandy, a Netherland dwarf rabbit called Ziggy and a horse called Marble. Therefore, the general daily duties of care for the families animals has been present for more than the 18 years noted here and include lovebirds, ferrets, bearded dragons, more horses, more rabbits, large dogs, cats and fish. Furthermore in general equine care, I have casually studied a method of natural horsemanship which encourages you to learn their personality and to use positive reinforcement. This is something that has been reflected in my training our other animals too and should demonstrate my ability to try to understand your pet as best I can and support positive training and commands. I have signed up to Rover because I am living away from the family clan of animals and I miss having the rewarding distraction of caring for animals during my day. I appreciate it is tricky handing an animal over to someone who you do not know yet so I try my best to put myself in your shoes and ensure you are confident in my ability and attitude to make sure your animal is as confident as possible in my care. I do also enjoy taking photos and looking building up my experience in pet photography. So if you would like some photos of your pet while we are together, I will happily make the most of the surroundings we are already in and take some and send them over to you as a free and casual service.
Reviews
Hayley is by far the best pet sitter I have used to Rover! She sent me a Rover card which no other sitter has ever sent me and I use rover regularly so you would think I would have known it was a thing by now. Hayley seemed super interested in Rocco’s care and was super flexible. Her communication was 10/10 and she sent me constant updates on how Rocco was doing which was great! She’s also just a really nice person. I would definitely recommend Hayley!!
Hayley was great with Luna. She sent lots of update which was lovely. Luna can be very excited and Hayley handled her well. Was very happy with the service that she provided. She clearly is great with dogs
In the many years that I have known Hayley I have found her to be reliable, honest and trustworthy. She has looked after my dogs, cats and horses on numerous occasions with care and common sense. I have no hesitation in recommending her as someone who will be an excellent dog carer.
Hayley is a very kind individual and has always been an animal lover. She is a very down to earth person and is always willing to help anyone. She is one of the first people I turn to if I need help or advice. Hayley grew up with horses and dogs of all sizes. To this day, at her family home they still keep horses, a golden retriever and own a cattery. As such, she is very familiar with animals and is very confident handling individuals of all different temperaments. Hayley also has a very high level of emotional intelligence and as a result is very good with people. I think Hayley would be a fantastic volunteer and an asset to Rover.

I appreciate you have put your trust in me to care for your animal friend while you are away. I have learnt of the importance of ensuring a pet has a friendly face and voice to support them when they are unsure and this is the first step to making sure your pet trusts me. Secondly, will come the all important fresh water as many don't like stagnant water, fresh food and a good bit of attention in the form of a brush, cuddle, sitting quietly, play or a walk. Furthermore, for your reassurance I will send a video and photo updates when I am tending to your animals. Where there may be issues, I will be transparent with any issues or concerns as it is the animals happiness I prioritise. Due to the nature of my flat I can only care for well behaved, quiet and non destructive dogs or cats in my home during the day. Please select this service under 'doggy day care'. As I am home working I will position them next to me where I work so I can keep an eye on them. I have found that cats often feel safe if you provide them with a sheltered space they can call their own. Your dog or cat will be sat next to me and watch me work so I anticipate they will feel more confident as our time together increases and we can enjoy each others company with cuddles and games.

Availability
I work full-time with a flexible work schedule where I am based at home. Therefore, I have numerous and flexible times of the day to reassure your beloved pet with a visit or take them for a walk. This is something I would like to provide to pet owners who would like to ensure their pet is taken care of. Where I cannot provide a service due to an event in my work schedule or personal life I will ensure this is made clear and in good time.
