Meet the crew behind A Home Away from Home! My name is Haylee Vaughn. I have been a Registered Nurse for the last 10 years, a wife for 6, Mother for 3, and a children’s pastor, with my husband, for the last year! I am now a full time stay at home mom and have been taking care of pets for the last 10 years. We offer drop in visits in your own home, or we board or provide doggy daycare at our home here in Midland. We live on almost 2 acres of fully fenced in property and is home to a few rescued farm animals we’ve saved along the way. 🤍 My husband and I strive to offer quality care, frequent updates through out your babies stay with us, and something that can be hard to find: peace of mind. We aren’t fancy, we don’t put on pretenses, and most the time you’ll find us wearing boots and covered in dirt. But we promise to take care of your pets as if they are our own. Our puppy’s first time away from home- he had a great time! Haylee kept us updated with pictures several times a day.
Left for a week to go spend time with family and my dog literally had the best time. They sent me pictures of her playing and it made me feel so much better about leaving her. I recommend her to anybody!
It was Ava’s first time with Haylee and she had a blast! Haylee was amazing with texting me and sending me photos of all her play time and sleepy time! Thank you for taking such good care of my furbaby! I would highly recommend her and I will bring her back to stay again!

We also ensure that each pup has their own specific space to eat or enjoy a nice treat. This allows for each pet to relax in their own space, while maintaining safety: which is our highest priority!
