My dog enjoys frequent walks due to our lack of yard in the city. My dog is reactive and has had poor experiences with off-leashed dogs. I always consider my dog's safety and past experiences when walking him in public areas. One way I do this is to communicate clearly to strangers that my dog is reactive and should not be pet, I can communicate your pet's needs clearly to other pet owners/ strangers who we may encounter while on walks. At home, I make sure to spend time with my dog and not leave him alone in other rooms. Depending on your pets personality and needs, I can accommodate accordingly.

Some important things I like to know ahead of time are characteristics like separation anxiety, hiding, stealing food, chasing animals, escaping, etc. any details you may feel important to ensure the safety of your pet and home ! (Like if your dog gets excited and pees when you pet them lol)

I usually like to follow what the pets normally do. If a pet is active I try to play with them as much as possible.
