Hello! My name is Harley, I am 19 years old and a sophomore at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. I am studying Communication Sciences and Disorders. I plan on attending graduate school to become a Speech Language Pathologist. I was born and raised here in Kingsville and I don’t think there is a time in my life that I never owned a pet! I have two dogs (Maggie Mae who is 14 years old and Hopper is 12 years old) I also have one cat named Kitty (she is 3). I love working with animals! I used to show pigs during high school. I showed 4 different pigs with very different personalities! I made sure that after each show I had a breeder willing to take my pig. Through showing livestock I have learned the importance of dedication and responsibility. I was also a part of the vet tech pathway through my high school years. I love caring for animals! I have taken care of many of my family member’s and friend’s pets, including cats, dogs, birds and even chickens!! My experience does not stop at taking them for walks, feeding them, and letting them out to the restroom. I always make sure to play with them and that they get a dose of hugs and tons of affection.
