Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals since I was young. I have been responsible for my family's dog since I was 12. Over my young adult life, I was hired between family, friends, and sometimes acquaintances to walk, feed, board, and even train their dogs. In the past year, I adopted a 10-week Jack Russel Terrier puppy and have trained him for service. I take him on airplanes and into public spaces. He is extremely well-behaved, kind, and loving.

I currently live in an apartment complex, however, the property has copious amounts of open, green space. The residence itself is a gated-community. In the center of the neighborhood is a large grass field where I play fetch with a chuck-it with my own dog.

Not only do I have a year old dog in my home, the community I live in is extremely dog friendly and saturated. People are always walking their dogs, both on and off leashes. Because of this, it is extremely important to know your pup's demeanor towards other animals and if they respond to vocal commands. The benefit of this community is the amount of socialization your dog may experience, however, it is important to consider everyone's safety.
A typical day
I believe it is extremely important to exercise dogs both physically and mentally. We will play with toys, learn and practice tricks, and play in the large grass field in front of my apartment. Sometimes, I like to walk to Red Rocks open space or Bear Creek for a more intense activity.

Availability
I am currently a student taking online classes. The class schedule is asynchronous and self-paced, therefore, I have a lot of time and extreme flexibility throughout the entire week. In this situation, I am able to give the dogs as much time, entertainment, and exercise as they require.
