Pet care experience
I'm an experienced dog walker and caretaker - I've been a Wag walker, fostered dogs, and have had my own pup (Ted) for the last three years. Ted was a ball of anxiety when my partner and I first adopted him, but with consistent training and a lot of patience, he is now a very calm and confident dog! I've fostered older dogs with special medical needs, so I'm very comfortable administering medication, and am ready to take on whatever your pup needs. I am available for doggy daycare, boarding, and dog walking Friday - Sunday.
Reviews
Hannah is the only person I trust with my dog! Rocky is very high energy, and it takes a special person to take her on walks. Rocky is very reactive to other dogs, bikers, joggers, you name it! Hannah is very knowledgeable and attentive to her needs on a walk, and I am at ease knowing Hannah knows just how to handle any situation! She also takes the extra time to give Rocky extra love and play time! I know Hannah treats Rocky as her own-the best!
I can tell Hannah really enjoys spending time with dogs, and they respond well to her care and affection. I know she recently fostered an older Beagle named Cookie Monster for about two months before being adopted in December 2020. Cookie had a number of health issues that Hannah aptly treated (at the direction of the vet at Richmond Animal League) and cared for. He wasn't quite house broken either, and here too Hannah was responsible and patient. By the end of the foster, Cookie was much the better for her care, getting to his new home cleaner, healthier, happier, and house broken. It is just one example of her respect and love for dogs in general. Simply put, Hannah can be trusted to responsibly and lovingly care for any dog.
Hi---Hannah is a great candidate for becoming a dog sitter/walker for Rover. I have seen first hand the love she has for all animals, and especially for dogs. She enjoys spending time with dogs, and they respond well to her care and affection. She has kept fosters, the most recent being an older Beagle named Cookie Monster who was adopted just last month. This is why I think Hannah would be perfect for working with Rover.
Hannah dog sat for my puppy Lottie a couple of times. Lottie was kind of a handful but Hannah did a wonderful job and I trusted her to take great care of my puppy. She is truly a dog lover and I would recommend her to anyone.

My dog Ted is very friendly and will gladly keep your pup company. Ted needs lots of exercise and structure, so a typical day involves a long hike in the morning, with 2-3 additional 30 minute walks throughout the day (and potty breaks if needed). In the house, the dogs can relax and nap or play with toys. I'm happy to adjust for your dogs energy level and needs!

Information Hannah V. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know about their energy level, personality, routine, and any medical needs they might have. Because I have my own dog, they must be friendly with other dogs.
A typical day
I live right next to Rock Creek Park, so your dog will get to go on lots of fun hikes. I also live within walking distance of Walter Pierce dog park, so that's an option as well.

As a dog mom myself, my life revolves around caring for Ted, my 4 year old Blue-tick Coonhound. He loves other dogs, and will gladly accommodate having another pup in the house :)
