Knowledgeable care full of love

Pet care experience

I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds since I was 15. This started as mainly for friends, family, and neighbors, but recently I’ve been branching out as word of mouth spreads and I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets to learn how best I can care for them! Here’s a bit about my experience: - dog training all ages - am an aspiring dog trainer looking to attend a trade school in the future. Much of my free time is spent either with dogs or researching dog behavior or training! - dog sitting all temperaments - happy, skittish, reactive, avoidant, lazy, etc. I have some, but limited experience with aggression - group experience: mainly through doggy daycare job experience - body language: learning to read and know the nuances of dog body language to ensure full understanding of their mental/emotional state and how to best care for them - no CPR experience but working on obtaining this!! - multiple species homes: balancing the needs of all present species and ensuring maximum quality of care - some experience with cat only homes. But I have learned how to play with cats that encourages engagement and happiness and I have learned how to carefully determine how they prefer (or don’t prefer) affection. Both of which earns me brownie points quickly with all cats I meet! Here’s what I strive to offer: - detailed questions to ensure full understanding of your pets routine. Routine provides comfort in your absence and it helps me find and create space for extras enrichment to ensure full happiness! - personalized care: whatever your pet needs, I’ll provide to the best of my abilities - moving at your pets pace: I never force myself on an animal. I’ve found allowing them to come to me at their own pace creates comfort and a faster forming bond. This allows for future or repeat visits to be smoother and happier! - communication: I strive to provide communication as often ad possible to provide you with ease of mind during your absence!

Our family went out of town and left our 1 year old Chocolate Lab with Hannah. We were gone for 5 days, Hannah was amazing! She would update us daily, with details of our dogs well being. Also, would send pictures of there daily activities and adventures. When meeting Hannah for the first time I knew instantly that we could trust her with the care of our family dog and home. Hannah is very knowledgeable of the different behaviors of dogs and training methods. We were very pleased with the care and love she showed towards our family dog. We will definitely be reaching out to Hannah in the near future to care for our dog. I highly recommend her!

Hannah has been taking care of our “pup” and our family’s pets for a few years now while we are away from home. Hannah has a special love and respect for animals. She takes the time to get to know our pets and gives them the care and the attention they need and deserve. She also takes great care of our home while we are out. Everything is always neat and orderly when we return. While we are away, and need someone to watch our pup, we (and our pup) love having Hannah fill our void!

Hannah cares so well for our sweet rescue pup! She can read her signals so well and knows just how to care for her. Hannah goes above and beyond when caring for our dog. Thanks for loving our pup as much as we do Hannah!

Hannah watches our 2 dogs every time we're out of town, and she has always done a fantastic job. We come home to dogs that are happy, healthy, and usually a little better behaved than when we'd left. Hannah always has pointers for us (when we ask) to help with training and behavior - and they have made things better and easier for the family as well as our dogs.

Safety, trust & environment

In everything I do with your pet(s), safety is my top priority! Please read below for specifics on how I approach different events that occur within the services I provide: - When fences are present, I never leave dogs unattended within the fence. This is to observe behaviors, prevent any injuries resulted from excessive play/zoomies and prevent potential yard destruction from chewing or digging behaviors. - When on walks, I use whatever gear you provide in addition to a martingale collar (attached to your gear not the leash). This provides a back up for your gear which is helpful for escape artists or in the event any gear breaks during use (rare but it does happen). - I ONLY provide the treats/food that you have approved. I strictly adhere to the feeding schedules and the dietary guidelines you have in place for your pets.

Information Hannah V. would like to know about your pet

Since I strive to maintain your pets regularly routine, here are some things that would greatly help me achieve that: - basic routine (times awake/asleep, feeding times, times you’re typically gone for work, etc) - medications (name, time, amount) - exercise (what type, how much, when) - stimulation (what type, how much, when) - how does your pet react to strangers? Do they love them, are they nervous/shy, etc? This information will help me know how I can enter the home and ensure I am respecting your pets boundaries from the get to - anything they absolutely love? - anything they absolutely hate? - any training they know or you are working on them with

A typical day

I’ll utilize a 50ft long line and any wide open spaces near you to provide your pet with new and fun enrichment! The long line provides an imitation of freedom that being off-leash provides and dogs I’ve sat for in the past have had a blast exploring new spaces/smells with the freedom to run and play! I also utilize training to bond with your pup and build confidence, which builds support for future visits! For cats, I strive to find their favorite toys/games and do that with them. I also love to work with cats on training. I’ve found most cats are very smart (and stubborn) and love the mental stimulation and challenge that training provides.

I’ve just accepted a full time job and will regularly be working 7-10 hour shifts with a 30 minute break. My only consistent day off will be Sunday, with one other day throughout the week. That being said, for overnight care, plenty of care, love, attention, and enrichment will be given in the morning before any shift. Then (if possible depending on your location) I’ll return on my break and finally will return at the end of any shift as soon as possible. This will provide frequent bathroom breaks for dogs and plenty of time for me to shower your pet(s) with love and affection! On my days off, we will have all sorts of adventures! For day visits and walks, I will typically have time between 8 and 10am or after 5pm during the week (Monday-Thursday) and before 12pm on Fridays/Saturdays. I am very flexible with time on my days off, so please reach out if you have any specific requests or inquiries as I would love to talk with you!
