Flexible sitter that loves all pets

Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Hannah. I am currently a student at Bethel University pursuing a degree in Environmental Sciences. I have a passion and a deep love for pets of all sizes and species. I just said goodbye to my dog of 13 years, he and I would go for walks, cuddle, and he would just wag his tail as I cleaned up after him. I have several years of experience in dog and cat sitting and have been a certified animal caretaker for my University for two years now. I have cared for very old dogs with cataracts, middle aged dogs with spinal problems and special needs, and rowdy (but adorable) puppies. I understand that pet sitting is not always glamorous, baths can be hard, walking outside in the winter can be cold, and cleaning up can be yucky, but I am an outdoorsy girl and I find joy in working with animals and getting dirty is not a problem for me. I cannot wait to meet your furry companion and love and care for them just as you do.

Hannah stayed with our two small dogs in our home while we took a weeks vacation. She did an excellent job and I would strongly recommend her to others!!! We had the challenge of a puppy (9 month old) and a senior dog (13 years old) that needed to be watched and care for. Hannah was so organized and efficient. She came on time to the "Meet and Great" and took great notes at that meeting. She checked in with us several times prior to our expected departure. She notified us when she arrived to start and also checked at the end of her stay to make sure we were arriving home on time and volunteered to stay extra if it was needed. Hannah left us a journal of the feedings, water changes, doggy walks, and other informative notes regarding our "girls" while we were gone. She vacuumed and cleaned up after herself even though we told her she didn't have to. She truly was an excellent caregiver for our "furry kids". We would love to hire her again in the future.

Hannah did a wonderful job. We did not have to worry about leaving our dog knowing that Hannah would be here to take care of her. She is a very kind and responsible girl who loves dogs. She communicated well about the visit. We fully trusted her with our dog. She is a gem!

I have known Hannah most of her life, and she has always loved caring for and playing with animals. From a young age, she was fascinated by them and continues to be so even now as she completes a degree in Environmental Science with the dream of becoming a veterinarian. I watched her love and care for her own dog, Max over the years, and I have seen her responsibly and lovingly care for the pets of numerous family and friends, as well. In her current studies, she has taken on extra responsibilities caring for her university's various animals, and she is always looking for ways in which she can learn from them and grow her understanding of how to best care for them. I can highly recommend Hannah as a dog sitter. She is responsible, kind, compassionate, creative, and loves caring for animals.

Information Hannah V. would like to know about your pet

If I get the change to hangout with your dog I want to make sure that I can provide the best care possible for them. Before meeting them it would be great to know the breed and general size and activity level of your dog, also, if they have any special needs or medications that I need to be aware of. I have no preferences regarding the breed or size of your furry friend, I have taken care of a spunky 4 pound Tea Cup Poodle, a very mellow 40 pound Bulldog, and a 95 pound hyperactive Yellow Lab. I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities!

A typical day

I love how each dog is unique in what they enjoy doing, and have taken care of energetic dogs and more laid back dogs. I have experience in taking dogs for walks, runs, or bike rides if I am not fast enough for them. I live right next to walking trails and only a short distance from a dog friendly park, I also have access to a lake if your dog enjoys swimming or playing in the water. So whether your dog likes to walk, run, fetch, swim, or relax in the sun I will be right there with them making sure that they are safe and loving life.
