I have been walking my own dog Teddy for 2 years, taking him through the parks and woods in order to allow him the exercise he loves. I have found that by allowing the dogs off the lead, the dogs can burn off excess energy therefore making them more relaxed when they return. I successfully taught my dog his recall which allows me to leave him off the lead without having to worry about him failing to return. As well as walking my own dog, I have also walked others, such as my neighbours' dogs when they have been away which has allowed me to gain experience with handling different dogs and learning how they behave. In addition to this, I have dog sat for my neighbours when they have been away and looked after their dogs, which made me aware of how the dogs behave in their own home. Although I am most familiar with cockerpoos/ labradoodles I am confident with all types of breeds and size. I recognise that all dogs are different and would cater for individual needs - some dogs are happy to be walked with other groups whilst others need 1-2-1 and be kept on the lead. I firmly believe in mentally and physically stimulating dogs - from playing games, to teaching tricks to taking on long walks. I absolutely adore dogs and being around them. I would look after your dog in the same way I look after Teddy - lots of attention and tlc.
