Passionate Animal Caretaker - Where

Pet care experience

As a dedicated and compassionate pet caregiver, I have had the privilege of caring for a wide range of canine companions, from energetic 8-week-old puppies to wise 15-year-old senior dogs. My journey in pet care has equipped me with the skills and understanding to meet the diverse needs of dogs at various life stages. Puppy Care: With puppies, I focus on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment. I understand the importance of routine and patience, especially in house training and basic command training. Socialization is also key, so I ensure that these little ones get ample opportunity to interact safely with the world around them. Senior Dog Care: When it comes to senior dogs, I provide gentle, attentive care. Recognizing the unique challenges they face, I am adept at administering medication, catering to special diets, and providing comfortable spaces that accommodate their mobility needs. I prioritize their comfort and well-being, offering plenty of love and companionship to make their golden years joyful. All Ages: For dogs of all ages, I ensure regular exercise, whether it's playful runs for the energetic ones or leisurely walks for the more laid-back pooches. Nutrition, hydration, and hygiene are also top priorities in my care regimen. My experience spans a variety of breeds, each with their own special traits and needs. This range of experience has not only deepened my understanding of canine behavior and care requirements but has also enriched my life immensely. I believe every dog deserves a caregiver who sees them as a unique individual, and that's the commitment I bring to every pet under my care.

Hannah took great care of my pups. My Beagle has very bad separation anxiety and when I arrived home after a week with Hannah, both Dogs were extremely calm because Hannah took great care of them. They received plenty of love & attention from her! I will definitely e booking Hannah again for my next trip!

Thank you Hannah! Hannah sent pictures and updates regularly and they were clearly enjoying each other immensely! She was flexible when our plans changed slightly. We had a problem with our (only 2 year old) refrigerator and she calmly problem solved with us. When we got home, our house was very clean, and she even left personalized gifts for our pups!

Information Hannah S. would like to know about your pet

When preparing to care for a pet, having detailed information beforehand is crucial to provide the best possible care. It's important for me to know: Medical History and Current Health: Any past or ongoing health issues, allergies, medications, and vaccination status. This helps in handling emergencies and maintaining their health during their stay. Behavior and Temperament: Understanding the pet's personality, like whether they are shy, aggressive, sociable, or have any particular fears or triggers, aids in creating a comfortable environment for them. Dietary Requirements: Specific feeding schedules, preferred food, and any dietary restrictions or allergies ensure that their nutritional needs are met without any complications. Exercise Needs and Preferences: Knowing their usual exercise routine and play preferences helps in keeping them physically active and mentally stimulated in a way that suits them. Training and Commands: Familiarity with any training the pet has received and the commands they respond to assists in maintaining consistency in their routine. Routine and Schedule: Pets often thrive on routine, so understanding their daily schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and sleep helps in making them feel secure and at home. Special Needs or Care Instructions: Information about any special needs or specific care instructions, such as grooming requirements, helps in providing personalized care. Emergency Contact Information: Contact details of the pet owner and their preferred veterinarian is essential for any unforeseen situations.

A typical day

When I watch pets, my focus is not only on their care and safety but also on ensuring they have a fun and enriching experience. I love engaging in interactive playtime, using their favorite toys for games like fetch or tug-of-war, and offering brain-stimulating puzzles. For the more active pets, outdoor adventures are a must, whether it's walks in pet-friendly parks, hikes on trails, or just enjoying the freedom of my secure backyard, where they can safely run around within the bounds of the invisible fence. We might even have mini agility sessions for a bit of extra fun and exercise. But it's not all about high-energy activities; I also cherish quiet times with pets who prefer relaxation and cuddles, perfect for those who are less active or senior. Additionally, I enjoy capturing the joyful moments spent with the pets in mini photo sessions, creating wonderful memories for their owners. If a pet is undergoing training, I incorporate fun training games into our routine, making learning enjoyable and rewarding. Recognizing that each pet is unique, I always tailor activities to their individual preferences and consult with owners about their pet's favorite pastimes to ensure a personalized and enjoyable experience for each furry friend.
