Long Time Pet Aunt seeking new Kids

Pet care experience

I have owned pets since I was a child, and have been taking care of mine and others pets just as long. Most recently in my life I have been taking care of the numerous young adult and adolescent dogs that my friends and family have adopted. I am used to being an overnight babysitter and taking care of all needs from walks and feeding to bathing, brushing, of course, playing!

Hannah is exceptional with pets. She is kind, caring and firm but patient. She has always had a special way with animals since she was very young. They take to her easily and respond to her expectations. The same is true of her ability to connect to young children. She is very dependable and a reliable worker who takes her commitments seriously.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a rural neighborhood where many of my neighbors have dogs. When I am taking care of my brother's dog, he is given access to the downstairs and the screened in porch. I also have long leash lines off the back of the house which allows him space to play without having to worry about wondering too far. The property itself is adjacent to hiking trails and walking trails, so it is easy to take long sprawling walks, and there are plenty of local neighborhood areas where dogs are allowed off leash to run.

Information Hannah S. would like to know about your pet

Please tell me whatever it is you think I should know about your dog. Do they have a favorite treat or command or place to be scratched? Is there any special thing to consider such as deafness or an old injury? Do they have anything that can trigger anxiety or defensive behavior in them? I want to know as much about your dog before we start!

A typical day

I am an active person, and love to work with active animals. I recently ended my season snowboarding, and am looking to fill my time between now and next season with hiking, swimming, and thus have been on the lookout for good places in NH for this. My own backyard has the Monadnock-Sunapee trail behind it, and there are plenty of places I know in Keene, Henniker, Sunapee and more! Additionally, I come with my own stock of dog approved toys such as frisbees, balls, and squeaky toys from my little nephew - Polar.
