I grew up in a household with dogs and a mother who loves dogs. She has taught me almost everything I know about dogs and how to take care of them. I also have dog/house sat for a family with three dogs throughout the years and have gained lots of experience from working with them!

I have a large fenced in yard where dogs can safely play and use the restroom outside. I have 2 other dogs, a seven-year-old dachshund beagle mix (20 lb male) and a four-month-old dachshund (9 lb male, currently not neutered). They love cuddles, playing with each other, and sitting outside. When they are left at home they are put into bedded kennels and given a Kong with treats!

Besides their personalities, I also like to know about your dog's little quirks. I don’t want to interrupt their lives too much, and I keep a close eye on them to see any changes in their behavior.
A typical day
While watching your dog, the first thing I do when I arrive at your home is let them use the restroom. I let them stay outside for a while and soak up some sun! I typically feed them next and play with some of their toys. I usually walk dogs around the neighborhood and avoid dog parks. I know many people who bring their dogs to the dog park who aren’t trained and don’t get along with other dogs. I look at it more from a safety perspective and want to keep your pet as safe as I can while I am watching them.

Availability
I work part-time as a barista and currently am not in school. I can generally schedule my work around dog sitting as long as I have a week or two notice. I also typically work 4-5 hour shifts, so i if I do have to work, your dog would not be alone for a long time. My mother stays at home for the majority of the day and would also be willing to help if needed.
