Shelter Volunteer and New Cat Mom
Pet care experience
After volunteering at my local animal shelter last year, I adopted two amazing black kittens named Bowie and Prince. Working in the shelter helped me understand cat care, cat behaviors and how to assess individual needs. The shelter gets all manner of cats with individual personalities and past traumas. It was very rewarding working in that environment and the skills I learned helped me to get Prince and Bowie to open up during their first few months of transition. I have spent time with kittens, adults and senior cats.

As a cat owner, I have experince in maintaining litter boxes (both cleaning and daily scooping). The animal shelter I volunteered at kept an exellent standard of cleaning and I try to implement those concepts within my home. I am aware of general animal behaviors and appearances and can identify if any issues arise during a visit.

Does your cat have any behavior issues (such as chewing, biting, clawing, etc.)? Are they territorial? Are they spayed/neutered? Is your cat prone to hiding when visitors come to your home? Is your cat an escape artist?
A typical day
My usual routine includes pet feeding (dish cleaning if requested), daily litter box scooping/box cleaning/complete litter change (if requested/depending on need), and can vacuum for any scattered litter if a vacuum is available. I love cuddles and head scratches!

Availability
I work full time and am available 6 pm - 10 pm on weekdays (except for wednesdays). I have generally open availability on weekends and friday afternoons.
