The issue we found was the individual became dramatic. We provided the start and end times clearly and paid for the time. Upon speaking with the individual she explained that she would be at our home a few hours later since she worked. This was agreeable. A few days into her stay told me she must be done prior to the end time. Since this was not initially discussed I requested she stay per reservation. She implied that people don’t usually stick to the times. Next, we were diverted to another airport to refuel due to the weather in MPLS. I was not able to obtain her message as phones are put on Airplane mode. I replied immediately and explained the situation. I did not ask her to stay later. I felt I owed an explanation for not being home at the indicated time. She wrote in her message that it was Rover’s policy not to stay at the home outside of the time indicated (seriously). Per terms of service there are no such policies as Rover is a platform for independent contractors. Rover does not govern or impose “rules” upon the contractors and offers ideas. The individual voluntarily making these claims is frustrating (inconsistent). The individual then requests all communication to go through Rover for protection. The individual just stayed and was trusted in our home. The dramatic antics and “rules”, “policies” referenced for her personal benefit (inconsistent) left us unhappy with the individual.
