Pet care experience
I've spent most of my life caring for various animals, working with dogs and their owners, and learning how to care for pets the best that I can! I've grown up with huskies, chihuahuas, bully breeds, and a few very lucky mixed breeds. I'm also a retired chinchilla & ferret caretaker, and I've just started dipping my toes into spoiling cats. I live with a high-energy, high-drive German Shepherd named Padfoot, and three cats: an elusive Bombay, an incredibly vocal tabby, and a one-eyed long-haired tabby named Patchy. I've got plenty of experience and lots of care for these little guys. We have just recently moved to the Johnstown area, and still have some clients in Indiana as well!
Reviews
Hannah did really well with Poseidon and my cats. I felt comfortable having her in my home looking after my pets! Definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs!!!
Hannah did such a great job with our pack of dogs and sent us updates throughout the weekend.
Hannah was great with Snoop! He seemed to enjoy his day, and she kept me updated throughout the day with pictures of him. My mom was home some of the day and she said Hannah really knows what she is doing with dogs! Will definitely book with her again and I highly recommend!
Hannah was wonderful. I was super worried about leaving our pets, especially our elderly dog. Hannah sent updates and pictures. I was able to relax on vacation knowing that our dogs and cats were being well cared for.
About Hannah P.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
In our home, it is very important that pets are respected and cared for to the highest degree. Our dog has Kennel Syndrome resulting from poor breeding, and managing his behaviors and environment are a must. Both myself and my partner have to act conscientiously with him, and this carries over into how I treat my client's pets.
Information Hannah P. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to know about any kinds of precautions or specific rules I need to follow on walks or coming into the home. It's also very important that I know about your dog's preferences as well! Are there any health concerns or medications they need? Is there any behavior we're working on reinforcing or discouraging? What are their potty habits like? How does your dog like to be greeted? Is it best to cross the street if another dog is coming our way? Do they prefer to dine alone or do they need a friend to eat with them? What are some ways I can learn to communicate with your dog?
A typical day
Nothing is better than tiring out a dog with a long walk or a little bit of work and seeing them relax at the end. I usually prefer to keep a routine with lots of sniffing for mental stimulation. Our walks are for the dogs, so we should be comfortable and engaging the whole time!

Availability
I currently need to care for our pets at home and a few others throughout the day, so there is always time for a new drop-in client, but my housesitting clients must be able to tolerate being left alone for up to 4 hours.
