Pet-loving college student

Pet care experience

I grew up in a household that always had one or two dogs and one or two cats. Pet care responsibilities were a part of my childhood and continue to be a part of my life when I visit home. I frequently took care of my neighbor's two cats while they were away on weekend trips. My pet experience includes both large and small dogs and indoor and outdoor cats. My Bernese Mountain dog, Otto, has many food allergies so I have experience catering to and being aware of these. My Border Collie, Minnie, is very high energy and has quite the attitude. She has been a training challenge since she was a puppy, but has given me experience with intelligent breeds.

Hannah has been great with our dog. She is reliable and very good with handling high energy dogs. She communicates regularly.

Safety, trust & environment

I am dedicated to respecting your personal space and making your pet comfortable and happy in their own home. I am regretfully unable to host or board your furry family member in my current apartment, but am comfortable with making home visits. I have a list of questions that I ask clients when they invite me into their home to ensure I understand how the pet interacts in the space and what your expectations of me are to give them the highest quality care and attention. Senior animals that require extra care are no problem and I love giving them the special love and affection they deserve. Feeding, walking, cleaning up after, bathing, and brushing are all services I am comfortable with for a wide range of pet sizes.

Information Hannah L. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know the breed, approximate size, and general demeanor of your pet. I would also love to know what their personality is! What quirks do they have and what behaviors are normal for them? Are there specific people, scents, dogs, or other things that might trigger an adverse response? What do they love (where they get scratched, favorite treats, a walking path)? It is especially important for me to know if they are dog reactive and/or human reactive so I can keep them safe and calm in any situation.

A typical day

I love taking dogs on long walks through neighborhoods and parks. A local favorite of mine is Blackstone Park! I am also a runner so I would love to take your high-energy dog on a few mile run. I love playing with dogs with toys and always work to make it an enriching and safe environment for the pets. This goes for cats as well!
