Pet care experience
I’ve always been a big animal lover, and have had dogs and cats growing up. I am not allergic to any animals, so I am able to be around all breeds without any issues. I have previous experience working at a dog daycare, where I learned valuable information about canine behavior and training. Additionally, I have also worked for the Dog Wash Etc. in Portland, where I picked up more knowledge of care, diet, and training. Three years ago I adopted a dog of my own, and since then, we have spent endless time together working on aggression, reactivity and socialization skills. The learning curve I’ve experienced with him has allowed to build a stronger understanding of dog psychology and feel confident around all types of dogs. I always prioritize an animal’s comfort and safety, because I know just how unique they are.
Reviews
Hannah is reliable, communicative, and professional.
Hannah is great with our stubborn senior husky! Very accommodating and a good communicator.
Hannah is such a loving and kind person. She is organized, fun, motivated, compassionate, and everything you would want or need for your furry friend. When it comes to animals of any kind, Hannah is very reliable and committed to making them happy. She would be the perfect choice.

While I cannot have your pets stay with me due to my dog's journey with aggression and reactivity, I am very comfortable going to your home to care for them there. That being said, if my dog is visiting my parents and isn't at my house, I would be able to care for your pet in my home. It is a two story house with one roommate and no other animals. We have a very small fenced in yard, but endless places nearby for walks and adventures.
Information Hannah K. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any special needs or preferences to account for, let me know! Every dog is so different, and I want to do what makes them the most comfortable.
A typical day
I love taking my sweet Freddums on trail walks. He is almost never off leash unless in a fenced in area, so we do a lot of trail and city walks. I like to switch up where we go for each excursion, but I can also maintain a routine if that's what your dog prefers. Beaches, trails and neighborhoods are all fair game. If you have a fenced in yard at your house already, I can also spend time with them there. My dog's favorite game is fetch, so we spend a lot of time playing that together. I think it's really important to go for walks and play games like fetch, tug, etc., so they get a mental and physical workout.

Availability
I am looking to incorporate pet care into my life as a more significant part time job. I have very open flexibility at the moment, as I am no longer working at my previous serving job. I am moving into a new apartment November 1st on Portland's East End (yay!), and will have every day at your disposal. I do have another part time job that pops up here and there, but it is not a fixed schedule. Because I have a pooch of my own, I will need to accommodate his needs throughout the day, but that is very doable! If possible, I prefer to accept payment through Venmo, Cash App, or in person.
