All you need is love and a dog

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m new to Rover but not to taking care of pups! I’ve learned to take care of dogs for the past 9 years. I’ve grown a lot in knowing the right way to treat pups of all sizes and I take great pride in my ability to make sure they’re safe and feel comfortable. I am currently employed at a Doggie Daycare and I love every second of it. I can 100% say working there has improved my ability to work with dogs and understand their behavior more. I have a pup of my own that I adopted a few months ago so I have experience with caring for and training puppies. If you have a new puppy I would love to help out with training and keeping up with what you are currently working on with him or her such as potty training and simple commands. I also have experience administering oral medication to dog(s).

I’ve known Hannah for about 8 years now we are great friends and I trust her very much in the time I’ve know I’ve had her watch my dogs several times when I’d go on vacation or be out of town for a while and each time Hannah has been reliable dependable and loving towards my dogs she’s a great person and great with animals.

I’ve known Hannah since she was born and she has always been a natural animal lover. She puts animals before herself and loves them unconditionally. She is so caring and compassionate of all animals and has owned dogs and cats her whole life so knows so much about them. She is very responsible on top of that and has an incredible work ethic. You can’t find anyone more qualified to care for your animal. She will take care of them like they are her own and give them so much love and attention.

Hannah Schirmer is an experienced and compassionate caretaker of animals. She is loving, reliable, and attentive to every animal's individual needs and personal quirks. Hannah is a natural, no matter the type of animal, and makes it her goal to provide the upmost care for each furry friend she meets along the way. I have worked with Hannah for 3 years, but it only takes 3 seconds to see that this person has a deep love for animals. Some might say she loves them more than people... Hannah personally has taken care of a wide array of dogs and cats. Her best friend, Joey, suffered from an affliction of seizures. Hannah made sure that he was always properly medicated, and in addition to that, went through a great deal of paperwork to correctly process all of his insurance claims. Hannah bolsters animals' spirits as much as she takes care of their physical needs. She is always chatting and spending time with her animals, and routinely makes sure that they are groomed and exercised. Hannah will sleep on the couch if her pup Roxy looks comfortable on the bed. Not the dog bed (one of several), but the bed made for humans. After all, according to Hannah, Roxy "gets what she wants when she wants it,". While Hannah can sometimes be blinded by her love of all critters, she never misses a beat when an animal is in trouble. Hannah has had experience dealing with various issues animals may encounter: seizures, insect bites, dry pallet syndrome, feeding necessities (both of medical necessity and personal preference), grooming schedules and maintenance, sound-based discomfort, and many more. She is always on the lookout to make sure the animals in her care are as carefree as can be. Hannah will not rest if there is an animal who is not 100% A-OK! While it may sound cliche, the ease that you feel entrusting your furry friends in her care will only be eclipsed by her love of your pets. Hannah will truly love caring for and getting to know your furry family and friends as much as you do. I suspect that for her, the most rewarding part of the Rover experience will be making many new friends. Lastly, Hannah is in general a bright light that radiates with warmth, empathy, and love. Please consider Hannah for all your pet-related needs and wants.

Hannah loves puppies and makes for a very charismatic dog sitter. She is responsible and has two pups of her own. We‘be had her watch our lab, Lucy. She is older so we worry a lot about her getting outside to go to the bathroom periodically through the day and we know we can rely on Hannah to let her out on time.

I have a very large yard and a quiet safe neighbourhood. There are many dog parks/parks around my area. A couple in walking distance. I love to play with them as much as I can and have plenty of toys. I live with my parents so they will be around frequently to give them extra love, as well as other family and friends who absolutely adore animals. I would also love to do a meet & greet first if you’re thinking of selecting me for your sitter so you can make sure your furry friends are being well taken care of.

Information Hannah K. would like to know about your pet

I’d like to know how they get along with other dogs and people. I’d also like to know if they have any important medical conditions so I can do my best when taking care of him/her. I wouldn’t say I have any breed preferences but I do love corgis and pitbulls.

A typical day

We will play with toys and go on walks around their neighbourhood or to the nearest park/dog park. I would also feed them/give treats and/or do overnight stays! And of course give lots of cuddles.
