12+ years caring for pets

Pet care experience

I have been caring for animals since I was 12 years old, when I began taking care of pets for my friends and family members. I have 6+ years of professional experience caring for dogs, cats, chickens, rodents, horses, and cows, so I'm prepared for almost anything! I have trained many puppies for friends and family and have worked for a veterinary clinic in the past, so I am able to perform CPR in case of an emergency. I would love to provide a clean, fun experience for a time that could be very scary and confusing for your fur baby. Rest assured they will be taken care of and loved like my own for the duration of their stay! I have experience in basic pet grooming and photography, so if you'd like me to give your fur baby a bath and a photo shoot, I'd love to do so!

Hannah is wonderful! She takes good care of our dog. She is punctual and, overall, a great communicator.

Hannah has been so loving with my pup! Bella was very anxious the first day and Hannah met her right where she was at and just sat with her. I love getting pictures while I’m out! She’s very respectful of the property and I appreciate her help ?

Hannah is great! She is punctual, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She sent pictures of our dog and went far and beyond to let us know how he was doing.

Safety, trust & environment

I prefer to meet up with clients before my visits with them so that I can get to know them and their pet, and let the pooch/kitty meet me before I come into their home. I make sure to watch body language so I don't push their boundaries and if they seem uncomfortable with my presence, I will give them space until they feel safe enough to say hi! I make sure to check all gates before letting a dog outside, even if it was closed when I left, and I double check all locks are secured before I leave. I also make sure to do a quick hazard check if the pet is allowed to free roam, in case they've knocked something over etc

Information Hannah K. would like to know about your pet

I would like to go over an emergency plan with you, including what vet to take your pet too, any medical history, and special instructions in the event of an emergency. I would need to know what energy level your dog is so I can plan my visit accordingly, as well as their behavior towards other dogs and people. Please tell me any medication they're on, or special food they eat, as well as behavioral issues like car sickness or separation anxiety.

A typical day

The type of fun we have depends wholly on the dog! Some dogs could play fetch for hours, while other prefer to sit together quieyly, or have a good brushing. If treats are available or allowed, I will sometimes scatter them around the house or yard and let the dog sniff around for them. Or just let them choose which hand its in. I think it's most enriching for a dog to choose where to go on walks as long as we stay within a certain distance and let them choose how fast we go. Dogs love to sniff and it can wear them out more than a good hike!
