Pet care experience
I grew up in a household with a minimum of 6 pets at any one time, mostly rescues or fosters, and have always kept pets as an adult. In addition to taking care if my own pets and those of my friends, I have also volunteered in animal shelters and have experience with a variety of animals. I currently have two dogs with high anxiety, and in working with rescue animals have experienced a lot of pets with varying needs. I understand that many animals need time and patience to build trust, so I wouldn’t shy away from an animal that needs some extra help to feel comfortable.

Hannah is passionate about animals and has the perfect temperament to care for all types of dogs. She is loving, patient, understanding, and empathetic - whether the dog is aggressive, anxious, older, or anything in-between, Hannah has likely owned a dog just like yours at some point in her life. She understands how to comfort every type of dog, but most importantly, she genuinely loves every dog she has ever come across.

When it comes to pet-sitting, I would prefer to watch your pets in your home, however you see fit. However, I personally have a fenced in back yard and doggy door, and could potentially keep pets in my home if they get along well with my dogs. My dogs have high anxiety with other people so it could be a bit of a challenge for you to do a walk through of the place, do drop offs and pick ups, etc. For dog walking, drop in visits, or pet sitting, I am happy to tailor the care to your pet’s specific needs.

Let me know if there’s anything that may be a trigger for your dog on walks or at home! I’d be happy to look out for those so they can be appropriately accommodated for. Also, if your dog is in behavior training and you would like me to keep up certain rules for leash walking, potty training, etc., please pass those on!
A typical day
Living close to the metroparks makes it easy to take frequent hikes in new places so we don’t get bored. Dog parks are also a great option if your pet likes the socialization.
