We recently had a highly disappointing experience with Hannah. We booked her for 3 nights of house-sitting over a long weekend. She was to stay at our home with our 3 dogs and spend the nights with them as they have never been left alone at night. Things didn’t get off to a great start, the booking was for an 11-11:30 am start, she arrived just after 3pm on the Friday. During the stay, Hannah exhibited an alarming lack of commitment. She abruptly messaged us at 1:30the morning, stating that she was unable to sleep/get comfortable and needed to leave the house to rest at her place. This was an unexpected and unprofessional request, especially considering our dogs had never been left alone at night and each one of our pet’s profiles says they cannot be left overnight. Leaving them in the dark without proper supervision showed a severe disregard for their well-being. Hannah's subsequent explanation of having "extenuating personal circumstances" further added to our confusion and concern. She did not provide any specific details, leaving us questioning the validity of her claims. It became apparent that she was unable to fulfill the basic responsibilities of the house sitting service, such as staying overnight, providing necessary care by being present for more than 3 hours at a time. To rectify the situation, we reached out to Rover.com and opened a case. They found us a last minute replacement sitter who could fulfill the house sitting request. The hand-off between Hannah and the replacement sitter was disorganized and poorly coordinated, further indicating Hannah's lack of professionalism. She tried to leave our house key in a flowerbed and leave without a new sitter being introduced to our dogs with someone else there - our security cameras recorded this. Throughout the entire experience, Hannah's frequent absences of 1-3hrs from the house and apparent disregard for our dogs' well-being caused immense stress and worry - we were 375 miles away and powerless. Her profile and our experience are worlds apart, which is very disappointing We strongly advise against entrusting Hannah with the care of your beloved pets, she is not what her profile claims and doesn’t do Rover professionally. Her unprofessional behavior, inability to fulfill basic responsibilities of the agreed booking, and lack of communication make her an unreliable choice. Our dogs deserved better, and we hope this review serves as a warning to other pet owners seeking a trustworthy and dependable sitter. Please note that this review accurately reflects our personal experience and the events that unfolded during Hannah's house sitting service. Hannah was so good to my dog Hope. I received wonderful pictures everyday. Hannah was very responsive to my texts. She was willing to do anything for Hope, even taking a little deposit to the vet for testing. Upon my return to town, my neighbors commented about how happy and peppy Hope was and how friendly Hannah was. My house was in good order with towels and sheets washed and folded.
