I grew up training and showing German Shepherds in 4-H Dog Shows, and have had long term experience with dogs, cats, horses, small animals, and other farm animals. I began working at a local dog boarding kennel in 2007, and gained valuable experience and knowledge there. Because of my good relationship with the kennel and strong work ethic, I have continued to work at the kennel off and on for the past 9 years. During my college years, I worked at a fast paced doggie day care in Burlington, VT. There, I learned an enormous amount about dog behavior, pack dynamics, and training, from the dog trainer for whom I worked. I graduated in 2014 with a degree in Zoology from the University of Vermont, and have since been working for a wildlife conservation non-profit and pet sitting in my spare time.
