Pet care experience
Ever since my family got our first pet when I was age three, I knew I could never imagine a life without them. Suddenly our one cat turned into three, along with multiple dogs, a hamster, birds, frogs, and freshwater fish! Growing up with heavy responsibility for these sweet animals really helped me learn to anticipate their needs, keep their schedules, train and learn their behaviors. I currently rotate care for a variety of family animals, including 15 year-old senior Chihuahua, a senior Pomeranian, a Golden Doodle, a Golden mix, and a Springer puppy. I am located on the east side with my sweet cat who absolutely adores dogs & is very calm but playful. I am experienced with puppies to seniors, with experience with GI upset, urinary issues, luxating patellas, hip/joint stiffness, skin lesions, cone wearing, and blindness/deafness. My other hobbies include hiking, running, and tennis, and would love to include your pup! I can’t wait to meet your special pooch, and please feel free to ask about special requests.
Reviews
Hannah goes above and beyond to make sure that your pet is loved and cared for! I can always rest assured that my dog is safe and having fun whenever Hannah watches him- there is no better feeling than being able to relax knowing my pet is in good hands! Hannah treats each pet she cares for as her own- she is the absolute best there is!

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
Communication is my #1 principle whenever caring for an animal - I will be sure to follow any protocols mandated by your building or home, and provide pictures and/or text communication after visiting so you can reassured that everything is as it’s supposed to be. If you fur baby is staying with me, I have a separate room for them so they can have a space that is all their own, but they are more than welcome to enjoy the rest of my home freely. I have plenty of windows, a patio/yard, and close access to Lake Michigan & multiple trail heads. I will also provide multiple or daily updates based on your communication preferences.
Information Hannah C. would like to know about your pet
If you have a medically fragile pet, please let me know any medication or wound cleaning protocols. I am able to administer medication orally or through injection. I am also familiar with post-op care like neutering or spaying that require a cone. If your loved pet is nervous of strangers or has any tendency to be territorial or aggressive, please notify me ahead of time so I can assess during the meet and greet and recommend if I can care for them. I am always gentle in my approach & take pride in allowing your pet the space they need to warm up.
A typical day
What I love most about dogs is how amazingly different they are! I prefer to be active outdoors, so a pup friend is natural company. I love to enrich doggos with a new walking area like a trail with lots of smells, wildlife, and sounds to stimulate them, or if accessible a dog park for them to get their zoomies out! For my sweet older pups or smaller pups, a walk closer to home so they can get some activity or playing fetch or tug of war to get some indoor zoomies out if also a great energy release. Please tell me what your pup loves!
