Although I don't have a pup of my own right now, I love being around friends' dogs and caring for them when I have the extra time. I grew up around dogs of different sizes and personalities - labs, a daschound, a miniature poodle, and a retriever - and am comfortable being playful as well as authorarative. I am an avid walker and hiker, and some of my favorite walks with pups include the Amazon trails, the butte, and a trip to Morse Ranch if the dog likes to socialize. I am a full time student and have a flexible schedule, as well as the summers off, so I can give dogs in my care a great deal of time and attention. I try to match dogs' regular routine as much as possible, keeping the pups happy and calm, and can do so because of my flexibility. My partner works from home and also has a flexible schedule. He too is a dog lover and would accompany me on some walks and care dates. Our apartment does not allow pets, so I can provide care in owners' homes or walks around town.
