I'm a DePaul University student who has 5 years experience volunteering at animal shelters working with and walking dogs. I started volunteering at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was 14, and recently volunteered with PAWS as well. I grew up with a black lab who had diabetes, and gave her shots twice a day 12 hours apart. My parents in Des Moines also have two golden retrievers that I love and miss dearly - I even have an Instagram for them (@thetwogoldengirls). When my family goes on vacation, we hire someone to live in our house to care for our dogs, so I understand what is required. I am comfortable with all sizes and breeds of dogs, and am a major dog lover. I will also be sure to send you pics of your dog if you would like!
