Hallie as a person has a kind soul. She is a wise young woman and very calming to be around. The traits cross over to how she interacts with dogs. Her dog, Monster, was a rescue that was found cold and wet on the porch of an empty house near her school. He was skittish and hid behind the couch for so long. Hallie would just sit by the couch and slowly he came out and sat on her lap. Today, he is beyond spoiled, but he is as loving and fun to be around as she is. We never thought we would travel with a dog, but he has his spot in the car and loves to take trips - that is because she insists he is family and can't be left behind. The same love she has for Monster crosses over to others' dogs. She can't walk past dogs without lighting up, getting excited, and/or petting them. Her whole demeanor changes. I think the dogs feel her kindness because they tend to be drawn to her. Any dog that Hallie cares for will be happy that she is there.
